Durham plows
onward, identifies "Tech Executive -1"
In breaking news Thursday, Special Counsel John Durham has followed his indictment of former Perkins Coie partner Michael Sussmann by revealing the identity of “Tech Executive – 1” named in that indictment. He is Rodney Joffe, senior vice president of Neustar.
The WASHINGTON EXAMINER has the story in detail.https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/identity-of-tech-executive-in-durham-indictment-revealed
Alfa-Bank, which was used in that fake story about computer servers in Trump
Tower communicating via “ping” with servers in their building, issuing both Neustar
and Joffe. (They’ve already sued Christopher Steele, successfully.) According
to the detailed “speaking indictment” released by Durham, Sussmann was working
on behalf of both the Hillary Clinton campaign AND “Tech Executive 1,” both of
whom were depending on him as their attorney to disseminate the fake Russia
story. Durham alleges that Sussmann, Joffe, and then-Perkins Coie partner Marc
Elias “coordinated and communicated about the [Alfa Bank] allegations during
telephone calls and meetings, which Sussmann billed to the Clinton Campaign.”
These guys hardly bothered to cover their tracks at the time, and we’re
guessing that’s because they were soo darn sure Hillary would win and no one
would ever know what they were doing. Sussmann even billed his meeting at the
FBI with James Baker to Hillary’s campaign, as “work and communications
regarding the confidential project.” Not so confidential now, is it?
Though his lawyers are trying to present him as non-political, Joffe was in
tight with the Democrats. An email he wrote soon after the 2016 election
suggests that he had been “tentatively offered the top [cybersecurity] job by
the Democrats when it looked like they’d win. I definitely would not take the
job under Trump,” he commented. To that we would say, lucky for Trump.
Sussmann, charged with lying to the FBI when he said he wasn’t working on
behalf of anyone else, is turning out to be a central player in the Russia
Hoax, which clearly was an attempt to frame candidate and, later, President
Trump for “collusion” with the Russian government to help him win in 2016.
Ultimately, the elaborate story is –- just as we knew –- based on NOTHING.
There is no evidence of this at all.
Perhaps I shouldn’t say “attempt” to frame him, because they actually did do
it, as the media treated the hoax as absolutely real and millions of people
were duped into believing it. An untold number still do.
The latest subpoenas issued by Durham are for documents from Perkins Coie
during the time Sussmann and Elias represented both Hillary Clinton and the
DNC. Joffe, through his legal team, issued a statement saying he had “no idea”
Sussmann’s firm was also working for the Clinton campaign (what?) and
characterizing his indictment as a political smear. To that, we would say
political smears are something Sussmann seems to know a lot about.

Finally, here’s a little something extra for your weekend reading: a
detailed article from REAL CLEAR INVESTIGATIONS published in May of 2020 (yes)
that tells much more about what Michael Sussmann was up to for the DNC. As
we’ve mentioned, he’s the one who hired Shawn Henry of CrowdStrike –- the same
Shawn Henry who'd served as executive assistant director of the FBI under
Robert Mueller, who later became special counsel (unbelievable) –- to determine
who had hacked the servers. CrowdStrike provided Sussmann with the
"Russia" narrative. CrowdStrike never has turned those servers over
to the FBI but did have to admit under questioning that they have no evidence
of an “exfiltration,” or hack. (There’s exactly the same amount of evidence of
a hack by Russia as there is of a “ping” at Alfa Bank, which is to say NONE.)
Refresh your memory on this complex story; there will be much more to come.
We wouldn’t be surprised if the DNC server story were where Durham was headed,
with some of the biggest revelations of all.
