ZING! If there is anything that can be said about reps who aren't cut from political cloth it's that they have no problems dishing out the hurt. Take Lauren Boebert for example, she's made a quick career out of slamming the hypocrisies in Washington. While some have said she has crossed the line a few too many times, I find it refreshing to hear a representative say the things we are all thinking.

Let me be honest from the start of this. I’m not religious. I’m an agnostic. That is, I cannot say with any degree of certainty whether God exists or not. That would be any God, Christian, Muslim, or take your pick. My belief is much like a coin, flipped into the air to land, improbably, on edge and stand there. Perhaps wobbling and teetering a bit, but not ready to take that leap of faith one way or the other.

If you’ve ever read Lord of the Flies, The Rise and the Fall of the Third Reich, or 1984, you understand the threat to life and limb from unrestrained power. Lord Acton distilled the danger down to a simple phrase: “Absolute power corrupts absolutely.” Our Founding Fathers knew that which is why they crafted for us the Constitution, the greatest document ever written by men. With H.R. 1, the Democrats will destroy our rights under that document.

The boorish, embittered, hard-hearted members of the Democratic Caucus in Congress whom I think identify as women really test my ability to love my enemies. If you don’t know who I’m talking about, they’re the cult members dressed in white at the State of the Union (SOTU) address and a couple of others who chose to sit home. Their nominal cult leader is Nancy Pelosi—the boorish, embittered Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives who in a fit of adolescent pique, shredded her copy of President Donald J. Trump’s address in full view of cameras.

In a must-read piece published on The Hill and titled “Nancy Pelosi should resign,” law professor Jonathan Turley—who did not vote for Trump and did vote for Obama—wrote this about Pelosi’s behavior:

Comment: If she cannot control herself, there is no way in Hell that she can control her caucus. She debased herself by her own actions and needs to go.

The House has its share of infamies, great and small, real and symbolic, and has been the scene of personal infamies from brawls to canings. But the conduct of Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) at the State of the Union address this week will go down as a day of infamy for the chamber as an institution. It has long been a tradition for House Speakers to remain stoic and neutral in listening to the address. However, Pelosi seemed to be intent on mocking President Trump from behind his back with sophomoric facial grimaces and head shaking, culminating in her ripping up a copy of his address.

Comment: Perhaps conservative cities are more interested in actual education than in pushing "social justice".

In a new report that will definitely have liberal politicians looking for the nearest vault into which they can hide this data from the public for the next twenty years, Brightbeam has discovered that schools in conservative cities have done a much more effective job at closing the racial achievement gap than their counterparts in progressive districts. As illuminated by civil rights attorney Nekima Levy Armstrong, the report shows that much of what Democrats believe about how to bring up children of color is clear and obviously wrong.
Now, whether Democrats will actually take this lesson to the heart or, instead, just double down on the same failed policies, is yet to be determined. As we mentioned, the most likely path forward is for these city and school leaders to simply pretend like this report doesn’t exist.

Suffice it to say that I found this posturing...rather unimpressive:

RIVERDALE, N.J.—The Riverdale Board of Education approved a second-year teaching contract for a young Elizabeth Warren, documents show, contradicting the Democratic presidential candidate’s repeated claims that she was asked not to return to teaching after a single year because she was "visibly pregnant."

Minutes of an April 21, 1971, Riverdale Board of Education meeting obtained by the Washington Free Beacon show that the board voted unanimously on a motion to extend Warren a "2nd year" contract for a two-days-per-week teaching job.

Judge dismisses DNC hacking lawsuit against Trump team, says claims 'entirely divorced from the facts'

A federal judge in frank terms Tuesday dismissed a lawsuit by the Democratic National Committee (DNC) against key members of the Trump campaign and WikiLeaks over hacked DNC documents, saying they "did not participate in any wrongdoing in obtaining the materials in the first place" and therefore bore no legal liability for disseminating the information.
