Even true-blue liberals like podcaster and author Sam Harris have been warning the Democratic Party for years that their reliance on identity politics was sure to be a dead-end street. But while college campuses, newspaper editorials, and even Capitol Hill were slowly but surely turning into incubators for this diseased ideology, the party’s faithful went obliviously right along with it. 

The Great Awakening: Breaking the Chains of the Democratic Party

There are millions of INDIVIDUALS that belong to the Democratic Party or who vote for Democrats. People need to understand that we don’t have to agree with everything people do or say. There is are overriding principles and policies that attract most to the party or the party’s candidates. Please be more open-minded about what withdrawing actually means. Hearing that people are leaving for the reasons mentioned here is disheartening. Nothing wrong with calling out poor behavior but continue to exercise your right to vote and continue to participate in this cherished tradition of representative government. Be involved. Vote.
