I know I'm showing my age a bit here, but when I take a "Good Hard Look" at what's going on on AMERICA it's EERILY REMINISCENT of an old "Twilight Zone" story written by Ray Bradbury or some other SI-FI Writer of that era,....The Better Writers wrote Scripts that were "Plausible" He was the one who wrote "FAHRENHEIT 451" covering the topic of "Burning Books" ...It was in retrospect more or less about "Intentionally Making the Population into "Ignorant Fools, Tools & Slaves to the Oligarchs"....He also lamented later "You Don't Have To Burn Books" to make the Plan Work, If there's no INTEREST in Reading & Learning you WON'T....TELEVISION effectively KILLED that Process..
Any number of People have said in effect; that "Whoever Controls The Media, Controls us or the World" & I might add that is 100% True....Don't get me wrong a FEW may well "Overcome" those conditions but not "Long Term" While it is True we live in a World where INFORMATION is Abundant, TRUTH is not!
Lets also be HONEST Here, most People (Sadly) are not "Deep Thinkers" they either accept or reject a line or thought...Probing is not on that List....Without going into a "Dissertation or Narrative" about Marketing, the Idea is to SELL a Point of View or Product....That is done LONG TERM by telling Stories....It's the old "The Moral Of The Story Is" thing....That's what BOOKS were originally about ....Books rather than Film often create a "Spirit Of Imitation..That is to say you can Visualize the Characters as if you were in the Room, Some Films do that but RARELY!...In my Younger Years I was a Musician & I was always drawn to the Lyric that told a Story I could Relate too or Dreamed of....Again it's all about Imagery...
Today is seems rather than have a "Conversation" & Exchange Ideas" we are being TOLD what to Think, how to ACT & what the SOLUTIONS to a Problem are....And hear me out this is NOT a "Multiple Choice Option" it is USUALLY a "Singular Point or View (Proven True or Not)! It is OPINION with a Story & Point of View to SELL....SELLING is the Objective! Done via Persuasion... Persuasion is often Enticement done via Extortion or Bribery....Nonetheless it is ALL about RESULTS! Nothing else matters!
The Art Of Making,Closing a Deal or Selling is to Play your to your Emotions & get you MORE Involved in the Conversation...Always ask LEADING Questions that can or will Solicit the ANSWERS you want....It's really nothing but a "Con Game" at least in Practicality!!! And then you keep reinforcing those ideas, endlessly....
In today's "Semi-Functional" World everything is condensed to "Sound-Bites" & for now lets just call them Teasers that as time goes on Takes you to the "Conclusion" that THEY want & need you to Have...You may well think (Erroneously) that you came to "Those Conclusions" all on your Own, but the TRUTH is "No You Didn't"
