Comment: The truth can definitely make one a tad testy. Interesting blowback comments at the end of this post.
Too close to home? Revelations on closed McCabe case irk Eric Holder, tells a reporter: ‘Shut the hell up’
February 21, 2020, | Vivek Saxena
Former Obama administration Attorney General Eric Holder unintentionally pried open the floodgates of social media hell on himself this week by making the big error of telling a well-respected investigative conservative journalist to “shut the hell up.”
Flashback to early Tuesday evening, when Paul Sperry — a renowned journalist known for his past contributions to Investor’s Business Daily, The Wall Street Journal and Fox News — broke a report about disgraced former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe’s recent evasion of justice:
BREAKING: Molly Gaston, the Asst US Attorney who signed letter to McCabe’s lawyer informing McCabe she was closing the criminal case against him, is Democrat who’s given thousands to Dems including Obama & who once worked for Dem side of House Oversight & whose mother worked for WaPo
— Paul Sperry (@paulsperry_) February 18, 2020
According to Sperry, the U.S. attorney who signed the letter informing McCabe that the Department of Justice is dropping its case against him is a Democrat “who’s given thousands to Dems including Obama & who once worked for Dem side of House Oversight & whose mother worked for WaPo.”
Almost exactly 24 hours after Sperry revealed these still-undisputed facts, Holder responded to his report not by challenging the veracity of the facts outlined in them but by telling him to “shut the hell up.”
Look:
Why don’t you shut the hell up? Your bias is showing. I bet you’ve never been a prosecutor or have any idea how DOJ works. People like you who want to use the justice system for political reasons-are both dangerous and ignorant. The case was-like you-an an obvious loser. https://t.co/MdOq8u78Yy

As of Friday morning, only one mainstream outlet, Fox News, had shown any interest in a former attorney general attacking a member of the press.
Meanwhile, Holder’s tweet had attracted blowback from thousands of Americans — a large number of them with blue checkmark credentials — who were mystified by such a corrupt “wingman” (as Holder had once described himself) accusing others of being corrupt.
To the critics, there was an intense irony to it given Holder’s track record:
Yikes, @EricHolder. https://t.co/menluPg5EO

Eric Holder’s DOJ, in a warrant @EricHolder personally signed off on, falsely accused a Fox News reporter treason so it could spy on the reporter and secretly read his e-mails. Sound familiar? https://t.co/cK2eVaAFZv

What is with @EricHolder‘s fetish for running guns to terrorist cartels in Latin America? https://t.co/88f8Am5H2n

Remind me again which DOJ investigated the campaign of a presidential candidate. Also remind us who was the deputy AG when a presidential pardon was sold for $450,000 and who intentionally subverted established DOJ policy in the issuance of that pardon.

There’s also the part where you used the DOJ as a slush fund to fund leftist organizations.https://t.co/9QrvWRX1QZhttps://t.co/QTGDODhvvS
The only person that needs to shut up is you Eric. You’re the most corrupt person to ever be DAG or AG

OMG. Eric Holder lecturing someone on using the justice system for political reasons. I cannot even right now. WOW WOW WOW. The lack of self-awareness. @ragnarsmate https://t.co/v5H8eL5LDS

Eric Holder must be extremely frustrated that he is no longer in a position to spy on journalists’ emails and phone records, threaten them with prosecution, and lie to Congress about it. https://t.co/4wkRD4qdei

Says the utterly nonpartisan public servant who, while attorney general, bragged about being President Obama’s reliable “wingman.” https://t.co/6adlbOQrgc

But Holder’s track record by itself didn’t explain his sudden outburst over Sperry’s report. Why would he care about a report concerning McCabe?
Because, Sperry himself revealed in replies to the former AG, Holder “works with” the father of the U.S. attorney who signed the letter to McCabe.
“Her father and Holder are partners at Covington & Burling LLP in Washington,” he revealed.
In additional tweets, he also focused his attention on Holder’s sketchy track record.
Look:
Turns out Eric Holder works with the father of the AUSA who signed the McCabe get-of-jail-free card. Her father and Holder are partners at Covington & Burling LLP in Washington https://t.co/F5lFSJ8tPq

Talk about no firewall between the attorney general and president — Holder was Obama’s wingman and their wives were BFFs, all united in the same racialist agenda.

Eric Holder completely politicized DOJ so he has a lot of gall weighing in on this issue
— Paul Sperry (@paulsperry_) February 21, 2020
Save to members of the left, to whom Holder is a godlike figure, the former AG is considered to have been one of the most corrupt attorney generals in American history.
“The first attorney general to be held in contempt of Congress has demonstrated shocking contempt for the law, and the ability to abuse and corrupt it for the political and social agenda of this president,” Sidney Powell, a 10-year DOJ veteran, opined after Holder’s resignation in 2015.
“He has assaulted freedom of speech and press at every turn, stonewalled all investigations into widespread corruption within the administration, undermined and obstructed the work of the agencies’ own inspectors general, and targeted individuals who dared challenge any of it. He has tirelessly protected and promoted corrupt prosecutors and scattered ticking time bombs.”
Her opinion on the matter is shared by plenty of others:
It’s official: Eric Holder the most corrupt official in the Obama administration.

Donor in Romney fundraiser video says Eric Holder is ‘probably the most corrupt Attorney General we’ve had ever, in American history.’

Eric Holder may be the most corrupt of all Obama’s officials. Which is probably why Obama has kept him around so long. #tcot

He didn’t even send Joe Biden. He sent Eric Holder, the most corrupt person in his administration.

Is Eric Holder is one of the most corrupt scumbags in DC?
