Tucker Carlson unleashes on CNN’s Christiane Amanpour
The biggest story in the 2020 presidential election broke in mid-October, but it landed with a thud after the mainstream media ignored and even actively suppressed it. Fox News’ Tucker Carlson was not letting any of them off the hook.
On Tucker Carlson Tonight Thursday, Carlson lit up the media for its gross mishandling of the Hunter Biden scandal. He was particularly brutal to CNN’s Chief International Anchor Christiane Amanpour, calling her a “celebrity script reader, a half-wit whose self-esteem far outpaces her accomplishments” — and for good reason.
Amanpour joined the media chorus in claiming that the bombshell about then-candidate Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden was false. Despite mounting evidence that the younger Biden had been trading on then-vice president’s political power and making shady deals with foreign companies while promising kickbacks to his Democrat politician father, Amanpour sneered at Republican National Committee spokeswoman Liz Harrington for daring to bring up the matter.
Carlson played a clip from an interview Amanpour did with Harrington not long after the story broke. “As you know perfectly well, I am a journalist and a reporter, and I follow the facts,” the haughty Amanpour boasted to Harrington, “and there have never been any issues in terms of corruption.”
Harrington of course objected to that lie, but Amanpour doubled down with her claims that there was no evidence. When Harrington invited journalists to “start digging” to get the story, Amanpour shot back, “No, we’re not going to do your work for you,” she claimed, and Harrington reminded her that journalists are supposed to do just that.
When that clip ended, Carlson unleashed on Amanpour’s self-description as a “journalist and a reporter,” but she “is neither of those things and never has been,” he told his viewers. “Christiane Amanpour is a celebrity script reader, a half-wit whose self-esteem far outpaces her accomplishments.”

He called Amanpour “the personal flack for the Biden family international finance corporation” for her willingness to ignore the undeniable evidence of the case. “That’s not in her Twitter bio, but it’s obvious,” he quipped.
Carlson called out other members of the media for similarly sycophantic treatment of the Biden family. NPR, CNN, and social media all quashed the story until just Wednesday when Hunter Biden himself announced he was under investigation, but downplaying it as a tax issue.
The mainstream media ran cover for Joe Biden because they were willing to do anything in their power to make sure he didn’t lose against President Donald Trump in the 2020 election. They were willing to ignore, lie about, or obfuscate any facts unfavorable to the Democratic candidate. The leftist media was doing all it could to make sure its candidate prevailed, and Amanpour was as willing as any of the rest to be a mouthpiece for the corrupt Biden family.
