Your commitment to traditional American values enabled the confirmation of Justice Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court and other like-minded judges to serve on the federal bench. Your unwavering support for free enterprise allowed us to dismantle job-killing regulations. Your leadership debunked the liberal lie that tax cuts are only for the rich. And you helped us prove that tax cuts enable everyday Americans to keep more of their paychecks and provide better opportunities for their families.
When I think about all of the victories we achieved together, I am encouraged to see what next year will bring. Thank you for your patriotism and for laying a robust conservative foundation for our children and grandchildren.
President Ronald Reagan reminds us, "In this spirit, Thanksgiving has become a day when Americans extend a helping hand to the less fortunate. Long before there was a government welfare program, this spirit of voluntary giving as ingrained in the American character. Americans have always understood that, truly, one must give in order to receive. This should be a day of giving as well as a day of thanks."
